Re-checked September 2026 against their public pages. Njalla is respected for domain privacy, and deservedly so. For VPS hosting the two of us are pulling in very different directions. Here is signup, pricing, locations, payment and jurisdiction, side by side.

We ask for nothing. No email, no name, no phone. You get a 32-character credential and that is your only key. Njalla wants at minimum an email, or an XMPP handle over OTR if you want to be careful about it. Neither of us does KYC, but the account itself is more anonymous here.
We start at $9.99 a month for a four-core shared VPS, with a seven-day minimum and renewal cycles you set yourself, so you can spin up for a sprint and delete it after. Njalla starts at about 15 euros for 1 vCPU and 1.5 GB of RAM, monthly only, with no short-term option.
Eight datacenters across North America, Europe and Asia here. Njalla runs every VPS out of Sweden. If you need low latency outside Europe, or any geographic redundancy at all, that is a hard limit rather than a preference.
Domains. Njalla becomes the legal registrant, so your name never touches WHOIS. That model is genuinely hard to match and we do not offer it. They also take ZCash and run a Tor hidden service and I2P access. If domain anonymity is the job, go and look at them.

Whatever is on those pages is what clause 6.2 lets them hand over.
Njalla sits at 1.6 out of 5 on public review sites across 65 or so reviews, and the complaints repeat: domains suspended with no explanation, support slow to answer. Njalla is also not ICANN accredited, and Swedish courts have compelled domain transfers before. Because Njalla legally owns the domain rather than you, recovery is complicated when it goes wrong. Read the reviews yourself before you decide either way.
For VPS hosting, no. We require no email at all and Njalla requires at least one. For domain registration, their ownership model is stronger than anything we offer. It depends whether you are protecting an account or a domain record.
No, and we are not planning to. Pair us with a registrar that offers WHOIS privacy. Plenty of people host here and register elsewhere.
Mostly suspensions without explanation, and slow support. For a service built on protecting your assets, that pattern matters more than it would elsewhere.
