Checked 11 September 2026 against their live pages, terms and client portal. MyNymBox is a real privacy host with a better passport than ours, and they permit things we refuse. We say so below. The differences worth knowing are the account, the number of locations, whether you can buy a machine today, and what their warrant canary does and does not attest to.

The account

We ask for nothing: a 32-character credential is the whole account and there is no field to put an email in. MyNymBox asks for a working email and accepts an alias, and their order form genuinely has no name, address, phone or country field, which we checked rather than took on trust. That is a real no-KYC signup. The gap is what happens next: their privacy policy reserves IP logging on the portal and service panels with no stated retention period, and their checkout tells you outright that your IP is being logged. Ours runs no web access logs at all and the error log is configured without the client address.

Can you actually buy one

On 11 September 2026 every VPS plan on their pricing page, all fourteen in the Netherlands and all fourteen in Finland, read "Out of stock" with the order button disabled, and their billing portal independently showed zero available on each. Their dedicated servers and shared hosting were orderable. This is a snapshot and it may have changed by the time you read it, so go and look. An advertised 4 euro plan you cannot order is not a 4 euro plan.

The canary

They publish a warrant canary at /warrantcanary.txt, although no page on their site links to it. The current one declares itself the last update, and self-reports 8 law enforcement requests, 5 served through proper legal channels, and 3 users' data turned over. Publishing that at all is more honest than most hosts manage. The problem is the signature: it is dated 21 May 2026 while the message it covers is dated 31 August 2026, and it fails verification against their own published key. An archived copy from December 2025 verifies cleanly with that same key, so the check works. The plain reading is that the text was edited after signing, which leaves those figures published but not attested. One of the two key links in the file is also a 404.

Where MyNymBox is straightforwardly better

Jurisdiction, first and hardest. They are a Nevis company; we are in Montreal, which is Canada, which is Five Eyes. For anyone whose threat model includes that, they win on the most structural point there is and no feature of ours cancels it. They permit Tor exit relays, which our acceptable use policy prohibits outright because we are not staffed to triage the abuse volume at our prices. Their marketing pages are built to work without JavaScript on purpose, with a fallback written specifically for Tor Browser on Safest, which is more thought than most hosts give it. They also register domains privately, sell shared hosting, and run their own BTCPay rather than a gateway. We do none of that.

They say

“No identity collection. We do not require any personal details other than a valid email address, which can be an alias.”

Their own policy says

“This order form is provided in a secure environment and to help protect against fraud your current IP address ([your IP]) is being logged.”

The first is on their homepage, the second is printed on their own checkout page while you pay. Their privacy policy also reserves IP logging on the client portal and service panels, with no retention period stated anywhere.

Their own policy says

“Crypto payments are non-refundable.”

Both sentences are in the same terms document, and crypto is the default payment method at their checkout. The terms do not say which clause governs.

They say

“We built this for journalists, activists, free-speech folks, and anyone who just wants real control over their stuff without handing over their privacy.”

Their own policy says

“We are not a bulletproof hosting provider and will not ignore valid legal orders. [...] Upon receiving such a notification, we will suspend your service and forward any abuse or infringement notices to your account email.”

Both positions are defensible, and the second is honestly written: suspension happens on receipt of a notice, before the customer has answered. They are simply not the same promise.

Two things
worth
checking

First, their terms say VPS and shared hosting "may be refunded if requested within 3 days of the initial purchase" and, separately in the same document, that "Crypto payments are non-refundable." Crypto is the default payment method at their checkout, and the document does not say which clause wins. Ask them before you rely on either. Second, in August 2025 they published a blog post about being added to Spamhaus's domain blocklist, writing that it followed domains registered through them being "used for phishing purposes" which they say they removed. They took that fight public themselves, which is to their credit; it is worth reading their account of it if deliverability matters to you.

Is MyNymBox more anonymous than Servury?

On jurisdiction, yes: Nevis beats Canada. On the account, no: they need a working email even if it is an alias, and we need nothing. They also log IP addresses on the portal and at checkout by their own policy, with no stated retention period, and we run no web access logs. Which matters more depends on who you are hiding from.

Do they take Monero like you do?

Yes. Bitcoin, Lightning, Monero, Litecoin and ZCash go through their own self-hosted BTCPay, which is the same philosophy as our own nodes. Other coins go through a third-party swap service, and cards and PayPal go through a third party too. We take eleven coins on our own nodes, plus card and cash by mail.

What is wrong with their warrant canary?

Nothing is wrong with publishing one, and the numbers in it are more candid than most hosts offer. The issue is that the signature is dated 21 May 2026 while the message is dated 31 August 2026, so it does not verify against their own key. An archived December 2025 version verifies fine with the same key, so this is not a tooling problem at our end. Until it is re-signed, the current figures are a claim rather than an attestation.

Should I use them instead of you?

If you want to run a Tor exit relay, we prohibit those and they permit them, so yes. If you need a domain registered privately or shared hosting, we sell neither. If your threat model turns on jurisdiction, they are outside Five Eyes and we are not. If you want no account identifier at all, machines in eight countries, encrypted memory, or servers and proxies in one place, that is us.
